Workers Compensation
Workers Compensation is a system established under New York law to assist injured workers who suffer a work-related injury in the payment of causally-related medical bills and lost wages. Under that law, the State of New York has established the "Workers Compensation Board", an administrative agency of the State of New York, to oversee the day-to-day aspects of all claims.
They'll have an experienced lawyer - shouldn’t you?
By law, the Workers Compensation insurance carrier must be represented at every Workers Compensation hearing by an attorney or a licensed representative. There is no such requirement for the injured worker.
These corporate attorneys and representatives have been part of the system for many years and know all the statutes, rules, regulations, and guidelines. They’ll know the details of your case, the applicable law, have read thousands of comparable medical reports, and more important, have appeared before the Administrative Law Judge hundreds if not thousands of times.
But then, so too has Silverman Law.
